• Lazarus has been raised
• John 12 and 13- Jesus reveals His earthly future but He is coming back
John 14:1–16 (NIV) — 1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” 8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” 9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. 15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

1st – If you have seen the Son you have seen the Father – the Trinity here
• The Father – The Son – the Holy Spirit
• Jesus is the only way to connect with the Father
2nd Notice the order – the Way – the Truth –The Life
Jesus is the only way to the Father – The only Son and the only way
• Jesus fully man and fully God –the most valuable being on planet earth
• He is fully righteous
• His act was one of mercy, and grace – withholding the penalty we deserved and giving us what we did not deserve
• The sin was unbelief the remedy is believing in the way God has established
A. Jesus’ the Way to the Father – restored relationship
B. Jesus –The Truth—He upholds the truth – the Paraklete is coming –sending the Spirit of truth
• Not my truth – not the worlds truth – so called wise people of planet earth
• When the relationship is restored and the Holy Spirit comes – the light of truth comes on
John 17:17 (NIV) — 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

John 18:37–38 (NIV) — 37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” 38 “What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him.
1 Corinthians 1:20–26 (NIV) — 20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. 26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.
C. Jesus’ Life – the way of living on planet earth and plugging into Him as the Resurrection and the Life
Isaiah 26:8 (NLT) — 8 LORD, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.

3rd The solution-choosing not my way, truth, life, but His Way, Truth, and Life
• The choice – He is the only way—truth –Life or we walk in our own way – the worlds way
• Obedience is our choosing Him
The Broad way or the Narrow way
Matthew 7:13–14 (NIV) — 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
John 12:42–43 (NIV) — 42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved human praise more than praise from God.
Romans 8:5–6 (NIV) — 5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
