Called Out – Week 2
Called Out – Week 2
HOW DOES PERSONAL WORSHIP START?
- The reality there is a God.
- It is His kindness that leads us to Him.
3) Linked with kindness is a of sin
Romans 2:4 Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?
Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard this, he told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”
- The of your realization of how deep your sin goes will be the depths of your
experience.
THE WOMEN WHO WORSHIPED JESUS EXTRAVAGANTLY
Luke 7:36-39 36One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to have dinner with him, so Jesus went to his home and sat down to eat. 37When a certain immoral woman from that city heard he was eating there, she brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume. 38Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them. 39When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of woman is touching him. She’s a sinner!”
- Why did she weep?
- She saw the depths of her sin and how Jesus loved her and forgave her in spite of it.
- She tasted the goodness of God through Christ.

DON’T STAY THERE. (PREACH THE GOSPEL TO YOURSELF EVERY DAY.)

-
He accepts me in Christ.
- He came to save me, not condemn me.
- It’s free in faith.
- It’s not my effort but His.
WE WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH HIM.
Psalm 63:1-3 1O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water. 2I have seen you in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory. 3Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you!
- We want to know Him.
- We want to spend time with Him.
- We start to love what He loves.
