FORGIVING-SELF PRAYER:

Father, Your Word says that in order to be forgiven, I must forgive. So I come to you in the name of Jesus, in obedience and love, and I bring myself before You. I cancel my debt on behalf of what Jesus did for me on the cross, paying for all of my sin—past, present, and future. I choose to forgive this hurt against myself, and I ask that You would not hold my sin against me. I release myself from any desire on my part to see myself punished and promise to cease continuing to punish myself. You know my desires, needs, and hurts, so I ask that You would pour out Your love and healing on me. Bring me Your highest good, because You are a Good Father, Your name is Love, and Your will is that none of Your children would pay for their own sins. Forgive me for not seeing myself the way You do. Forgive me for all the negative and harmful words I have spoken about myself. Transform my thoughts and help me understand how wonderfully You made me in Your own image. Forgive me for my harmful actions I have chosen to engage in. Help me change my habits so I use my tongue to speak hope and life, even to myself. Father, please heal my heart and set me free to love myself as You do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
