The Roof is designed to protect us from the elements. The spiritual and biological families are supposed to be connected, coming together to point us toward Christ and to protect us from all the things that want to break down, destroy, and invade the home.
In the same way that the structure of the roof bears the weight, the family of God (The Church) is designed to help bear the weight in our homes.
God’s design for the relationships in our home spheres, or the “walls” of our lives, is for them to be unified, whole, stable, and one.
Christ is the cornerstone, the foundation for our marriages, our families, and our closest relationships.
While there is a special oneness that only comes from marriage, God desires all of us to have relationships where there is the oneness that comes from agape love.
